5 day. This course covers the development of Servlets and
JSPs and their deployment to BEA WebLogic Server 6.1. Students
will learn how to use J2EE services such as JNDI and JDBC
in their web components and how to operate as clients to EJBs
and also to web services. Design patterns will be emphasized
throughout the course, with special emphasis on the Model
View Controller architecture. The benefits and features of
WebLogic Server 6.1 will be discussed, including installation,
monitoring, and use of the Administration Console.

5 day. Learn how to develop enterprise applications using
WebLogic Server 6.1 (WLS). Focus on Java 2 Enterprise Edition
(J2EE) distributed application development using Enterprise
JavaBeans 2.0 (EJB). Hands on labs, provide practical experience
creating and deploying session beans, entity beans, and
message-driven beans as well as the opportunity to work
with their configurable elements such as persistence, transactions,
and security. Understand the specific development and deployment
issues for WLS. Gain knowledge of WLS architecture and key
enterprise features.

WebSphere. Some administration concepts are covered to reinforce
the best practices nature of the course, but the focus is
on Software Development based on the use of J2EE Design
Patterns.

4 day. This hands-on course focuses on the most important
aspects of managing and administering IBM's WebSphere Application
Server Advanced Edition (AE). This course begins with an
in-depth architecture analysis and includes information
on installation and migration from other versions as well
as day-to-day activities such as managing classpaths and
applying e-fixes. In addition to the in-depth lectures there
are numerous exercises that will provide you the opportunity
to work with the tools that IBM provides with WebSphere.

Client (WDSC) for the iSeries (IBM's workbench for creating
and maintaining applications). Learn to use CODE Editor,

and the server (iSeries) setup and functions.  |
