- End-users who have little or no experience with the UNIX operating system and support
personnel who need a familiarity with basic system commands. Anyone needing to learn how
to read and write Korn shell scripts of a simple to medium level of complexity.

- This hands-on course provides the participant with the skills to use the UNIX operating
system. Basic UNIX commands for editing and manipulating files, managing processes and
interacting with the Korn shell are presented via lecture and lab exercises. The course
also teaches the participant how to use the programming constructs of the Korn shell
language to write scripts that may be used to simplify or automate tasks.
