Linux Application Programming [UXP-L2]

- Audience:
- C programmers who plan to develop applications for the Linux
environment

- Description:
- Students will learn how to create, compile and debug programs
for the Linux environment using basic and advanced techniques
(such as dynamic binding and shared libraries), utilize system
calls including file and I/O calls, manage processes, and
use many common Interprocess Communication (IPC) calls (pipes,
signals, sockets, rpc)

- Prerequisites:
- Knowledge of the basic UNIX/Linux
commands. Basic understanding of UNIX concepts (for example,
processes, the shell, and the kernel). A working knowledge
of C on any computer platform You can develop these skills
by taking the EduCorp classes Introduction to UNIX or Introduction
to Linux, and Introduction to C Programming.
