Pthreads Programming In
AIX [UXP-T3]
Duration: 3 days
- Audience:
- Experienced C programmers who need to learn how to write or debug AIX programs using the
POSIX threads (Pthreads) library or anyone who wants a better understanding of
multithreaded programming techniques.

- Description:
- This course addresses the challenges that typical C programmers find in writing
applications that properly use the features of multithreading library routines. The course
covers the proper way to design and code applications to utilize threads in accessing
global data and managing multiple streams of execution.

- Prerequisites:
- The participant must be experienced with the C programming language and be comfortable
with programming in the AIX environment. This includes skills in using the vi editor,
basic AIX commands and navigating the file system. The participant must also have
experience in programming AIX system calls and working with AIX processes. Some of these
prerequisites may be acquired by taking the following EduCorp classes: Introduction to AIX and Introduction to
C Programming.
