- Audience:
- This course is intended for those who will develop and deploy web applications to BEA
WebLogic Server 6.1.

- Description:
- This course covers the development of Servlets and JSPs and their deployment to BEA
WebLogic Server 6.1. Students will learn how to use J2EE services such as JNDI and JDBC in
their web components and how to operate as clients to EJBs and also to
web services. Design patterns will be emphasized throughout the course, with special
emphasis on the Model View Controller architecture. The benefits and features of WebLogic
Server 6.1 will be discussed, including installation, monitoring, and use of the
Administration Console.

- Approximately half of the course is student exercises. These exercises reinforce the
concepts introduced in lecture and allow students to explore the powerful features offered
by BEA WebLogic Server 6.1.
