iSeries Programming
Facilities Workshop [ASP-F2]
Duration: 3 days
- Audience:
- Programmers new to the iSeries, and programmers, operators
and administrators who need to understand the IBM programming
facilities for the iSeries.
- Description:
- This class, for the IT programmer, covers the IBM programming
environment and functions on the iSeries. Learn how to define
DB2 objects with SQL and Data Description Specifications (DDS)
coding techniques. Understand how OS/400 objects relate to
software applications. Create application Display Files using
CODE/400 Designer, and learn how to write basic CL programs.
This course gives the programmer hands-on, working knowledge
of the graphical and PC5250 IBM iSeries programming environment
and how to manage that environment effectively.
- Prerequisites:
- You should have prior programming experience in some language.
You should know how to perform basic system operations with
CL commands and describe work management objects. These prerequisites
can be met through successful completion of iSeries OS/400
Technical Orientation (CRS 1), or equivalent.
