AS/400 Technical
Orientation Workshop [ASA-O1]

- Audience:
- IT professionals new to the iSeries (AS/400).
- Description:
- This class, with hands-on labs, introduces the IT programmer
to OS/400, the iSeries Operating System. Disk and memory management,
filing systems, Command Language (CL), and user interfaces
are explained. OS/400 work management concepts are also discussed,
explaining different types of work running on the iSeries,
and the attributes that control them. OS/400's relational
database, UDB DB2, is introduced and its' integration with
OS/400 highlighted. [SCC]
- Prerequisites:
- None, although this is a technical overview, intended for
the IT analyst, administrator, operator, programmer; or those
interested in understanding the basic OS/400 structures.
